The RWCP presented a panel exhibition of optical interconnection at
InterOpto '98, the sole general optical exhibition in Japan. InterOpto '98 and

Approximately 600 visitors came to the RWC booth over the four days. Many
visitors asked many questions and/or requested brochures on the RWC Project and
Optical Interconnection Distributed Laboratories.
Optical interconnection, which is now attracting major attention, will be a
critical key technology in the development of seamless computers (parallel
super-PC systems connecting many PCs) in the future.
