Visitors at RWCP Booth
In the field of parallel and distributed computing, RWCP is developing seamless computing technology to realize a seamless computing environment where programmers and users are not aware of the underlying distributed environment, but use the network as if it were a single parallel computer.
As one of its research themes, the Parallel and Distributed System Software TRC Laboratory has been developing PC clusters since 1995, and completed PC Cluster I with 32 nodes in 1996 and PC Cluster II with 64 nodes in October, 1997.
In November, 1997, RWCP then introduced the RWC PC Cluster II and various demonstrations on it during the SC'97 International Conference at San Jose Convention Center in Silicon Valley.
In this issue of RWC NEWS, we present RWCP research results shown at SC'97 Research Exhibition and how these results were perceived.
Those who did not have the opportunity to visit SC'97 are welcome to the RWCP booth on paper to experience RWC PC Cluster II.
